THE LEGO MOVIE 2: THE SECOND PART (theatrical release)

Five years have passed since the events of the first movie. Finn is getting older and his sister, Bianca, has now started playing with her Duplos set with doesn’t sit well with the Legos. Finn has turned his Lego community into the post-apocalyptic Apocalypseburg. Lego construction worker Emmett still believes everything is awesome, but his friend Lucy is off brooding and stands guard waiting for aliens to attack. That very thing happens when Bianca’s Duplos attack. Captain Mayhem invades Apocalypseburg and kidnaps Lucy, Batman, and a few other friends so that Queen Watevra Wa'Nabi can marry Batman. Emmett has to summon up the courage to save his friends.    

Is It Worth Your Trip to the Movies? It’s hard to top the first one in terms of originality, but it’s entertaining enough for its audience.

WHAT MEN WANT (theatrical release)

Ali Davis is the sole female sports agent at her agency. She’s worked hard to get where she’s at and has a tough-as-nails attitude along the way to compete with the chauvinist men around her in the office. Ali believes she’s a shoe-in to get a promotion to partner. She doesn’t get the promotion and is given the excuse that she doesn’t know how to connect with men. That all changes after attending her best friend’s bachelorette party. She has a reading from a far out there psychic and drinks some hallucinogenic tea. She wakes up the next morning with the ability to hear men’s inner thoughts, no matter how brutal, embarrassing, or self-deprecating they are to her or the guy. She first views this as a curse but decides to turn it around to potentially win over a young new basketball player as her new client and the guy she has a one-night stand with.

Is It Worth Your Trip to the Movies? Easy entertainment if you need it.

WIDOWS (home release)

Viola Davis is back on the big screen and she is not to be messed with. She plays a mourning wife whose husband is killed when a heist goes horribly wrong killing him and his crew. To make matters a bit more complicated, she is now threatened for the two million dollars that was promised as part of that heist. After going through her late husband’s belongings, she finds the blueprints of their next heist. She decides to take matters into her own hands and gathers the rest of the widows to settle of some unfinished business.
