Noises Off at Guthrie Theater

Get ready to laugh. A lot. “Noises Off” is bringing a lot of smiles to audiences. The show is at Guthrie Theater in Minneapolis. “Noises Off” is a behind the scenes look at an acting troupe that rehearses and performs a show. All sorts of things start to fall apart and that’s when the hilarity ensues.

Nathan Keepers is part of the ensemble cast and he is so talented. He and the cast basically make accidents look unintentional. However, getting this funny moments just right, takes time. It’s that physical comedy that really makes it interesting and entertaining. Nathan gives Emily Engberg a lesson in looking  perfectly imperfect. She learned the tricks to falling up the stairs, running into a door and tripping over a newspaper.

During the show, there are a lot of things going on. For example, doors open a ton. The front door open and closes forty nine times, the study is seventy four times, bathrooms ninety four and get this. The word sardines is mentioned two hundred and twenty eight times.

This is the first time “Noises Off” has been performed at the Guthrie.  The show runs through December 17th. To learn more and to get tickets, click here.
