Big Business at the Fair

The Minnesota State Fair is the place for retail research. For a lot of business owners, it’s like Black Friday boot camp.

Every year vendors and shop owners tweak their fair plans to hopefully walk away with more money in their pockets.
Allison Kaplan, Editor in Chief of Twin Cities Business, stopped by the 5 Eyewitness News building at the Minnesota State Fair to share business lessons from the Fair.

A big success story lies at the Blue Barn in the West End Market. This year they introduced credit card machines which they believe helped increase their sales. New foods are their biggest drivers, selling thousands of Bacon Stuffed Tater Tots during the 12-day run.

Check out with Allison learned from vendors at this year’s State Fair.
