First Annual Brunch-A-Palooza, Saturday, June 3

On Saturday, June 3, GetKnit Events will team up with The Blue Door Pub, Hi-Lo Diner, local musicians, and more than 20 Minnesota craft breweries and distilleries to present the first ever Brunch-A-Palooza. This event is a one-day experience that invites participants to “celebrate all things brunch and those with whom we share it”.

The event runs from 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM at Saint Paul’s Upper Landing Park and includes a veritable feast of brunch food and drinks. Participants will be treated to 4 brunch-inspired small plates, 6 drink tokens, and brunch-related demonstrations. Other activities include live music on two stages, access to local vendors and samples, games, contests, and more. The brand-new Hampton Inn & Suites is also offering a discount to those who wish to stay downtown for the night. A portion of each ticket sold will be donated to Finnegans Community Fund and their mission to create sustainable change for those affected by hunger in Minnesota communities. Tickets for Brunch-A-Palooza are now on sale and are available for $59.

Brunch plates will be provided by Twin Cities favorites Blue Door Pub and Hi-Lo Diner. Ranging from savory to sweet, these culinary masters have created a menu sure to satisfy even the pickiest palates. The Hi-Lo mixologists have also teamed up with several local distilleries and breweries to craft specialty bloody marys and mimosas just for this event. Over 15 Minnesota breweries will also be brewing up “brunch beers” available only to attendees. Craft sodas will also be available. More information on the food and drink menu can be found at

GetKnit, known for their ‘City Crawls’ and locally-geared day trips, aims to offer a fun, safe, and convenient way for the public to indulge in some of the best brunch eats and drinks in the Twin Cities. “Who doesn’t love brunch?” asks GetKnit’s President of Fun, Nick Blake. “We’re excited to celebrate this beloved meal with great food, drinks, music, and friends along the banks of the beautiful Mississippi. Working with the geniuses behind Blue Door and Hi-Lo is such a pleasure and our guests are in for a treat with their top-notch food and specialty drinks.”

The Finnegans Community Fund has raised over $1 million to alleviate hunger in communities throughout Minnesota and will serve as the non-profit beneficiary of the event. “We have worked with Finnegans on volunteer events in the past and are thrilled to partner with them again in this capacity to help further their mission” Blake said. “Not only that, but one of our dishes is ‘Finnegans Flapjacks’ made with their delicious brew!”

This all-new event will bring together foodies, craft beer and cocktail lovers, and music aficionados for a day full of fun, food, and drink. “We think this event truly offers something for everyone,” said Blake, “and we can’t wait to experience it alongside our partners and participants.”
