Flaming Irish Sliders
Cooking for Dads host Rob Barrett stopped by for our St. Patrick's Day celebration with a recipe for Flaming Irish Sliders!
- 1 lb corned beef
- 1 small onion, chopped
- Gaelic cheese (like swiss)
- cabbage, chopped
- honey mustard
- Irish whiskey, Jameson
- olive oil
- Pretzel slider rolls, Costco
Slice corned beef against the grain and at an angle into very thin slices. Cut slices in half again.
Cut rolls in half and toast. Then spread with thin layer of honey mustard.
On bottom half of roll, lay a small amount of the chopped cabbage.
In a frying pan over medium heat, add olive oil and onions, cooking until just tender, then add meat and cook until just done, about 2 minutes.
Add 2 large spoonfuls of Irish Whiskey and then light on fire to burn off the alcohol.
Lay meat and onions on top of cabbage. Add slices of cheese and broil until cheese is melted.
Add top of roll and serve.
