Advice for Booking an Alaskan Cruise
The landscape of The Great Frontier, Alaska, is breathtaking and taking a cruise to the 49th state to enter the Union is big in the travel world. Renata Faeth from AAA Minneapolis shares advice for booking a vacation of a lifetime, including three stops you need to include on your itinerary.
Renata's Alaska port picks:
- Skagway -- White Pass Summit Rail
- Juneau -- Mendenhall Glacier
- Ketchikan -- Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show
Renata recommends additional stops in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.
Note that it's advised, and typically required, to have a passport for an Alaskan cruise.
AAA Minneapolis is hosting a Member Appreciation Cruise to Alaska September 2 - 13, 2017. The trip includes stops at the ports recommended above, along with visits to Denali and Anchorage. Prices start at $2,074 per person. See the itinerary by clicking here.
