Good Company: Total Luxury Limousine
Total Luxury Limousine has been in business for almost 30 years, but it has come a long way from those beginning days. It was started by Dave Murray. He owned one limo and kept it in his family garage in Woodbury. He used it for weddings and events. Back then, limos were harder to come by. So, he drove it, maintained it and booked the events. Fast forward to today and the company is booming.
Total Luxury now has some 45 to 50 cars, buses, limos and other vehicles in its fleet. They do all sorts of events still, but the biggest part of the business is corporate travel. It makes up 70% of what they do.
Dave is still involved in the company, but so are his kids. This family business is expanding with more events headed to the cities in the next several years, including the Super Bowl.
One of the reasons for the success is keeping costs down. Total Luxury has its own maintenance area. There’s even a car wash on site.
Dave says it took some ten years to really get the company growing. It was a 1957 Chevy that he believes changed everything. He stretched and painted it red himself and that caught the eye of new customers. He still owns that car. It’s now black with red and orange flames.
Total Luxury Limo is in St. Paul. To learn more about this company, click here.
