The Walk to End Hunger was created in 2008 by the Minnesota Hunger Initiative -- which comprises 21 organizations that work to end hunger in our communities-- and is presented by The Mosaic Company.  To date, the Walk to End Hunger has raised more than $2 million to help end hunger throughout Minnesota.

On Thanksgiving morning, thousands of Minnesotans will gather at Mall of America for the 9th Annual Walk to End Hunger to raise money for 12 area hunger relief organizations. This year’s event will feature several changes, including a new walk route, carnival-like entertainment and the addition of three “fun zones” along the first floor route. There is a $25 advance fee for adults; $35 at the door. Children under 18 are free.

  • 7-9:30 a.m.          Registration
  • 7:30 a.m.              WTEH program is kicked off in the Rotunda
  • 7:45 a.m.              Walk officially begins– with two groups walking in opposite directions – one lead by the Dirty Shorts Brass Band, the other by the Vikings Skol Line

The 9th Annual Walk to End Hunger (WTEH) is a chance to give back before giving thanks. The family-friendly 5K walk and annual Thanksgiving tradition helps raise awareness of and financial support for hunger issues facing Twin Cities residents. Every $25 dollars raised means 75 meals for Minnesotans in need.

Walk proceeds are funneled back to the 12 hunger relief organizations:
