Interior Design Top Secrets
Interior Designer Susie Ries shared a few of her "top secrets" when it comes to lighting, paint and how to arrange your home!
Useful Paint Colors
Susie recommends Restoration Hardware Stone and Benjamin Moore Hot Spring Stone for good netural paint colors.
Susie prefers a warm light with a color temperature of around 3500K. Also, paying a bit more for a bulb can save you in the long run, as more expensive bulbs tend to last longer than their cheaper counterparts.
Invest in a quality sofa. You want something with a good inner core that will stand up to use. But save on those end tables - good looking options can be found that won't break the bank. And always be on the lookout for good pieces of art. And rearrange them around your home on a regular basis to mix things up!
Use Space Well
Watch how your guests use your space. Do they need more places to sit? Invest in ottomans that can double as seating. Everyone cramped into the kitchen? Decide if you can open up a wall. What people do and where they gather in your home can give you a lot of insight on what to do next
