Up and Coming Good Companies

Every Wednesday we feature a company that stands out. We take you inside for a unique look at places like General Mills and Schwan’s Company. Emily has three newer companies that stand out for their product idea and their story.

  1. iPops  was started by a stay at home mom who wanted to make her watch and her fitbit standout, but adding a charm bracelet wasn’t ideal because of the fit. So, ipops was created to add into the holes of a watch. The price ranges from $6.99 to $14.99.

  1. Excelsior Candle Company was created by Heidi Mueller. She wanted to make gifts for friends and family. Two years ago she started making the candles and they quickly caught the eye of folks at Ramshackled Treasures in Zimmerman and Junk Bonanza at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. She does it all by hand. The candles, the packing and the shipping.

  1. Blackeye Roasting Company was founded by Matt McGinn. It started in a basement and now has coffe on tap at over 60 places and cold brew cans in over 100 retailers. The coffee is brewed in St. Paul and roasts in St. Louis Park. It’s nitrogentated meaning the drink is thick and is more smooth. Not bitter. Blackeye is 1.5 times more caffeinated than many of the other cold brew companies
