The Foam Home
Located in Minnetrista, Ron Hietala and his wife bought the one of a kind home about a year ago. Architect Winslow Wedin designed the home known as the Ensculptic Home in 1969.
The house was actually built as a tent, stringing cables from the king pole in the middle and covering them with burlap, the structure was then sprayed with polyurethane foam to create the walls and roof.
Wedin hoped this home would be the first of many foam homes across the country but the trend never took off.
