Swirl Wine Club’s Chocolate Truffles

The owner of Swirl Wine Bar, Dave Jarvis, gives us a little taste of the Taste of the Twin Cities Originals event. 

Ingredients:

  • 2 lbs. Dark Chocolate
  • 8 oz. Heavy Whipping Cream
  • 1 oz. Orange Liquor (Quantro)
  • .5 oz. Vanilla
  • Powdered sugar or cocoa powder (to coat)

Directions:

In a pot, steep heavy whipping cream over medium heat. Once heated, add orange liquor. Chop dark chocolate and whisk in until incorporated. Set mixture in a metal bowl and chill for 1 hour. Once cooled, scoop out chocolate mixture into 2oz balls (tip: use a small ice cream scoop). Roll truffles in powdered sugar or cocoa powder and serve at room temperature.
