Cooking on Hot Rocks

We love when Rob Barrett, Cooking for Dads host, is on the show because we never really know what to expect!  He took us all by surprise when instead of the stove or oven, he did his cooking on rocks!

Directions:

Find two or three large rocks that you can lift. Flatter ones work better.

Scrub, clean and wash them to remove all dirt.

Place on grill on high heat for about an hour.

Fill large bowls with rock salt.

Cut tuna and steak into small bite size pieces. Have 2 or 3 sauces in small dipping bowls. We like teriyaki and peanut sauces.

Remove stones from grill with tongs and place in the middle of the bowls filled with rock salt. Make sure the rock doesn't touch the sides of the bowl.

To cook, take piece of meat with chop sticks, dip in sauce and then sear each side on stone.

Then eat.

Beware of smoke detector. :-)
