Back to College for Adults
Before you know it, Minnesota kids will be headed back to school. But a growing trend in education is adults heading back to the classroom.
Investing in a college degree at any age can help you earn more money in the workforce doing that job that you love. Kim Craig from Concordia University in St. Paul is here to tell us more about this trend.
US Bureau of Labor Statistics show that the financial impact of a college degree for employees who hold a bachelor’s degree will earn close to $1 million dollars more than those who only hold a high school diploma. Professionals who have a master’s degree will earn nearly $500,000 more throughout their career than those who have a bachelor’s degree.
They further report that women who graduate from college earn 76% more than women who have a high school diploma. It is speculated that in the next 10 years 63% of new jobs will require a bachelor’s degree.
If you are thinking about going back to school for your college degree, a great way to get started is to attend a Concordia Café event. You can find out more about the school, career opportunities and programs available. For more information on this free event, click here.
