Be Well with TCL: Breast Augmentation

If you have ever thought about getting your breasts done but don’t like the thought of implants, there’s a way you can make it happen.  TCL Producer Kelli Hanson takes us to Shu Cosmetic Surgery in Edina to show us a procedure where they use your own fat to create fuller breasts.

Twenty seven year old Amber Carlson, from Eden Prairie, sought the breast augmentation procedure after having a baby.  Using liposuction, fat was taken from her body and put in a machine to harvest stem cells from it.  More fat is then mixed with the stem cells and injected into her breasts.

The procedure is called Breast Augmentation with Fat Transfer.  Dr. Steven Shu says the fairly new procedure is minimally invasive and the body won’t reject the change because it’s your own tissue.

We caught up with Amber a month after the procedure to see the results.  She went from a 32 almost C to a 32 D – maybe even DD!
