Today on Twin Cities Live was another special audience day devoted to our Super Saver, Carrie Rocha. To demonstrate her true Super Saving skills, we set up a head to head challenge between John and Carrie to see who could get the most bang for their buck on a $50 dollar challenge. They were each told to purchase items within their $50 dollar budget to be able to entertain a party of 10. Carrie went over budget by a few dollars, but her spread which is pictured on the right was amazing! She had everything from pineapples, sweet corn, and root beer floats to whole chickens! John on the other hand went with his “buy generic” rule and I have to say that while he stayed under budget, his party would not have been as fun as Carrie’s! No offense John!
We also had some kid inventors on the show to talk about their great ideas, and I was so impressed! The first invention was called the "Music to My Ears" which is a piano music book that plays music to help you learn how to play faster. The second invention was the "Ski Rite" which is a device you put into your ski boot that vibrates when you aren't standing up straight to help you correct your form. Last but not least was the "Corn Cob Cooker" which helps you cook your corn more evenly. The kids did a great job explaining their inventions and they were really unique and useful ideas! Plus, they really couldn’t have been any cuter! It was another fun day on Twin Cities Live, and we've got more great stuff in store for you tomorrow. See you at 3pm!
