Spring is early this year which is great news for outdoor baseball fans but terrible news for allergy sufferers. If you’ve tried everything to get allergy relief but nothing has worked, our pharmacist Jodi Ristau, from Lunds & Byerly’s Prairie Stone Pharmacies is here with a few options for you to try.
1. Try locally produced honey. 2. Try Quercitin, a natural supplement supposed to decrease inflammation. 3. Foods high in anti-oxidants such as raspberries, onions, garlic, and apples. 4. Foods high in Omega-3 fatty acids. 5. Use a Nettie Pot, which cleanses nasal passages clearing them of pollen. 6. Over the counter medications such as Zyrtec and Claritin treat allergies but won’t cause drowsiness 7. Use Benadryl at night, it will also help you sleep.
