Dez To Do’s

If you’re still looking for something to do this weekend, Dez has a few last minute ideas.

The Minnesota Opera: La Boheme
It’s been called one of the world’s most popular operas and is perfect for first time opera goers.  La Boheme is the opera that inspired the hit musical Rent – and just like the famous musical, the opera is about romance and the bonds of friendship.  The show opens on Saturday and performances run through Sunday, March 14th.  Tickets start at $35.  For more information, click here.

Restaurant Week
If you’re looking for a way to spice up your week, why not treat yourself to a night out at the best restaurants in the Twin Cities?  It won’t break the budget to try out the creations of some very talented chefs…it’s the Best of the Best Restaurant Week, sponsored by Minneapolis-St. Paul Magazine!  It started on Sunday, March 1, 2009 and goes until Friday, March 6, 2009.  You can sample the finest culinary offerings from 40 local award-winning restaurants.  Participating restaurants will offer set menus featuring their best culinary offerings.  A two-course lunch will only set you back $10 or $20 and a three-course dinner only $15 to $30!  Check out the menus of participating restaurants and make reservations online.  Click here for more information!

Big Sports Weekend
There’s lots of sports happening in the Twin Cities this weekend.  The U of M Hockey is taking on Wisconsin at the Target Center tonight, the Timberwolves play Houston on Saturday at the Target Center, and the Wild take on Calgary at Xcel on Sunday.
