ALS Story

John’s grandfather died of ALS twenty three years ago.  The toughest part for John’s family was his grandfather’s inability to speak due to the disease.  Now there is new technology to make it easier for those struck by ALS to say what’s on their minds.

Every year a group of snowmobile riders take to the trails between Proctor, Lake Vermilion and Two Harbors, Minnesota to raise money for ALS research and programs provided to PALS (Persons with ALS) by The ALS Association, Minnesota Chapter (now serving ND.)  With the support of sponsors and volunteers, the participants of this event enjoy riding the trails by day and meals and accommodations at night.  For more information to donate or to take part in this event, click here.
