Halley Anderson received the gift of life from a person she has never met. Kayla Borgerson was killed in a car crash at just 17 years old. But thanks to Kayla’s decision to donate her organs, Halley is here. At just 12 years old, Halley was told she had a sever case of cirrhosis, or scarring of the liver. It was so bad, she was operating on only about 10% liver capacity. Halley received Kayla’s liver. Kayla’s life was cut shor, but her legacy live on. The Anderson’s have made it their mission to create more awareness about organ donation and if you’d like to help out, you can get more information by going to their website halleyshope@hotmail.com.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation is granting Halley’s wish of going to the tropical islands of Hawaii which is something that is hard to beat. But Twin Cities Live wanted to give Halley a little something extra and when we found out that another dream of Halley’s is to be in the TV biz, we knew we could help out there!
