We’ve all paged through magazines admiring the picture-perfect models, but what does it really take to get glammed up for a fashion photo shoot?  TCL went behind the scenes of a beauty shoot back in February for the April issue of Minnesota Monthly! Style Editor, Elizabeth Dehn gave us the backstage scoop.

Elizabeth dropped by TCL to help us get the “Pink” look featured in April’s issue. 

Pink for Eyes…
-Use a light hand for wash of color – not for a glam look
-Try a pale pink shimmery shadow and brown eyeliner instead of black (Bobbi Brown Sparkle Shadow – $25 and MAC Eye Kohl – $15)

Pink for Cheeks…
-Cool pinks are the key to a youthful look
-Try a fuchsia cream blush, which mimics a natural flush (MAC Cream Colour Base – $17)

Pink for Lips…
-Choose a pink that matches your lip color, usually a brownish pink
-Try sheer gloss or lip stain for a kiss of bright color (Bobbi Brown Creamy Lip Color – $20, Chanel Glossimer – $27, Cover Girl Outlast Lip Stain, $7)
