There She Is…

It’s the words millions of little girls hope to hear when they grow up, “There she is, Miss America!”  The reigning Miss America, Katie Stam, dropped by Twin Cities Live at the fair for some Minnesota State Fair fun!  We chatted with her about what it is like now for her being Miss America compared to her upbringing raising dairy cows.  She has come a long ways from her days growing up in rural Indiana but she never outgrew her 4H days and showed off her skills of milking cows are still with her!

Ambush Makeover #3

Even when you are strolling through the Pig Barns at the State Fair, there still is no excuse for not looking your best!  Nino Altobelli, of Rocco Altobelli Salons, once again ambushed some fairgoers that he thought could use a little tweaking!

Kid Cup Stacker

Luke Myers may be a familiar face to TCL viewers when he showed his cup stacking skills on the show back in April.  But Luke has added another world record in cup stacking under his belt and today he came by to show off his amazing talent.  If you’d like to meet Luke in person, head over to The Broiler and Egg Association of Minnesota Booth in the Dairy Building this Friday from 1 – 4 PM where he will be showing off his stacking skills and signing autographs.  The Dairy Building is located at the corner of Judson Avenue and Underwood Street.

The Stone Mountain Pet Lodge is the perfect place for Elizabeth to leave her beloved dog, Henry, while she spends her days out at the fair.  While Elizabeth spends her days slaving away at the fair, Henry gets a little pampering in his day of luxury at Stone Mountain!
September Fair   ...More
The butter heads of the Princess Kay of the Milky Way contestants might get you thinking about cows or beauty queens but for author, Jess Lourey, she thinks of something a little darker.
Ranch Rolls   ...More
Fleischmann’s yeast sponsored the “Bake for the Cure” contest and for every entry they donated $10,000 to Susan G. Kohmen for the Cure.  Sharon Johnson of Columbia Heights with her blue ribbon ranch rolls walked away with the prize!
