Back to School Fashion  
Update your summer looks for back to school with these tips from Mall of America trend expert Sara Rogers.  Add a motorcycle jacket, boots, and a scarf to a basic t-shirt and jeans.  Get your summer dress ready for fall by adding a boyfriend cardigan in a contrasting pattern.  And jazz up a cami and shorts by layering with long sleeved shirts and distressed jeans.
TV Guide to Life  

Jeff Alexander, Minneapolis writer and contributor to the TV recap website Television Without Pity, wrote a humorous book about his observations on life, love, and...of course...explosions. He popped up on our TV show to talk about some of his favorite television moments. Warrior to Citizen Project  
The Center for Democracy and Citizenship at the University of Minnesota is spearheading the Warrior to Citizen Oral History Project, collecting the stories of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans.  A training session for volunteers to interview veterans will be held on September 11th.  Call (612) 625-0142 or click here for more details.
Ragamala Dance  

The Ragamala Dance company practices a style of southern Indian dance called bharatanatyam. Located in Uptown, the company tours internationally, performing around the world. It is a highly disciplined art form, but can be practiced for fun as well.
