35W Bridge: Chaplain and Survivor  
Kristin West was on her way home from work on August 1st, 2007 when her Chevy Trailblazer fell into the Mississippi along with the 35W Bridge.  She met Chaplain Dan Hall at the Holiday Inn a few days later.  Dan and the chaplains helped Kristin and many other bridge survivors and family members of victims deal with the tragedy.  For more information about the Midwest Chaplains, click here.
13 Seconds in August  
The Star Tribune won national journalism awards for their special 35W collapse web project, "13 Seconds in August."  The two employees who spearheaded the project discussed their research and the process on TCL.  To see "13 Seconds in August," click here.
Traffic Patterns After the Collapse  
Dr. David Levinson, a University of Minnesota researcher for the Center for Transportation Studies, discussed how the metro roadway system handled the loss of the 35W bridge, and what will happen to traffic in the Cities when the bridge reopens. Bridge Painter  

Scott Lloyd Anderson has been documenting the rebuilding of the 35W bridge with a  series of 18 oil paintings, illustrating various phases and locations with an artistic eye. He spent many months out at the site, painting in the open air.  He is showing the paintings at the Thrivent Art Gallery in Minneapolis from August 1st to the 29th. A free reception will take place at the gallery tonight from 5 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.  For more information, click here.

New Bridge Tour
The 35W Bridge construction has been watched by thousands of Minnesotans. The bridge is predicted to open between mid-September and mid-October. Rebekah got a “behind the scenes” tour of the new bridge as the building process draws to a close.
