For the second year in a row, Twin Cities Live is bringing you more food, fashion and fun with an additional half hour!  During TCL's Fair at Four Steve Patterson will be joined by Lindsey Brown, Kevin Doran and Dave Dahl from 5 Eyewitness News.

The hit show "American Idol" is coming this spring 2018 to ABC 5 Eyewitness News. You can win a chance to participate in our Twin Cities Idol competition! Crisco from the KS95 Morning Show stopped by to see if he could tell Fair foods just by taste. To make it even harder, Steve and Crisco's co-host Dez put a blindfold on him and then mashed different Fair foods together. Is Crisco's palate up to the task? 

Lindsey Works at Hamline Diner  

For 120 years, the Hamline Church Dining Hall has been a fixture at the fair.  Lindsey Brown puts on her apron to help out!

Slime with Crayola  

When Kelly Anne from Crayola Experience got off the bus at the Minnesota State Fair, the first place she headed was the giant yellow slide.  She keeps the fair theme going with a recipe for Giant Yellow Slide Slime!

They’ve been called the modern day Johnny and June – and you can see them for free at the fair!  Truckstop Honey is from Nashville but one half of the duo comes from Minnesota.  Amanda Jo grew up in Farmington and first performed at the Anoka County Fair.  When she went to Nashville, the first person she met was her fiancé and partner, Billy Lee.

All-Star Stunt Dogs   Back To Top

These dogs are more than just “man’s best friend”.  These dogs compete in challenges, do dock dives, and perform tricks!  The All Star Stunt Dogs have brought their talents to the fair for the last four years.

Yarn Bombs   Back To Top

Yarn bombing.  What’s that you ask?  Head over to the Grandstand ramp and check out the yarn street art covering the chainlink fence.  That’s what a yarn bomb is!  The artist, known as Knitteapolis began doing this in 2014 all with one purpose in mind…to make people smile!

The Minnesota State Fair has all sorts of spots to check out for a little shopping. That includes the International Bazaar. There are dozens of stores that offer everything from clothing to home décor. Among the stores, Irish on Grand. It’s been at the fair for years, but that’s not its only spot. They’ve been on Grand Avenue in Saint Paul for twenty eight years, making it the oldest Irish store in the Twin Cities. The owners are from Ireland and they say their authenticity is what has made them a success.

This year at the Minnesota State Fair, there’s a new attraction.  The Big Wheel takes you 156 feed in the air – making it one of the tallest traveling ferris wheels in North America.  Emily wanted to take a spin on it and brought her two buddies from KS95 with her.  Ryan and Crisco gave her a ride she’ll never forget!
