Fairytale Wedding

TWIN CITIES LIVE and Bellagala are giving away an ultimate FAIRytale wedding at the Minnesota State Fair on Friday, August 28th! Scott Komorouski and his fiancé Heidi Foster were selected from over 200 applications. Komorouski and Foster won a wedding package valued at over $18,000 courtesy of Bellagala, Wedding Day Diamonds, Pearls & Lace Bridal and Formalwear, Men’s Wearhouse, and the Hotel Ivy.

Komorouski is from Prior Lake and Foster grew up all over the country as an Air Force brat. The couple now lives in River Falls, Wisconsin. Their first date was at the Minnesota State Fair. Scott, who entered the couple in the contest, says, “My first time at the State Fair with Heidi really was the beginning of our fairy tale life together.” His first proposal included a fifty-cent plastic ring from a vending machine. Scott proposed for the second time live on TWIN CITIES LIVE August 7, 2009 with a yellow gold princess-cut diamond.

The FAIRytale wedding will take place live from 3-4 p.m. on 5 EYEWITNESS NEWS during TWIN CITIES LIVE on Friday, August 28th. This will be the only wedding during the 2009 Minnesota State Fair.

It was Friday, August 7th when Heidi and Scott were announced the winner of our FAIRytale Wedding.  Together, with their wedding planner, Gretchen Culver, they pulled together a $18,000 wedding in just 3 weeks!  We take a look back at just how they got where they are today.

The Wedding Party  

We met members of the wedding party, Best Man Tom and Maid of Honor, Rae.  Rae has been Heidi’s best friend since she was 12 years old.  When they were younger they were “partners in crime” when they use to sneak out of the house together!  Tom and Scott have been friends since the 7th grade and even lived together in college.  You can pretty much count on if Scott is around, Tom is not far behind! 

Full Circle  

Heidi and Scott’s relationship began right here – at the Minnesota State Fair.  With their first date taking place right at the fair, it seems only appropriate that they would end up getting married here too!  We took Scott and Heidi out and about at the fairgrounds to relive their first date.

The FAIRytale wedding is now only a few days away! It has been so great, and so fun, getting to know Heidi and Scott over these past weeks. I am sad their wedding is so close, I won't get to hang out with them anymore!
