Today is a very special day for wine afficienados across the world.  Each year at the strik of midnight on the third Thursday in November a highly anticipated wine debuts. 
Holiday Planning 101 - 3 Dips

Mom's Asiago Dip

1 c. nonfat cottage cheese
1/4 c. nonfat cream cheese
2 1/2 t. dijon mustard
1/4 c. (to taste) Asiago cheese (grate)
1 jalapeno pepper (smaller ones, more flavor)
2 green onions (chopped)

Put cottage cheese and cream cheese in blender, until creamy.  Add
mustard, Asiago, onions, and pepper.  Blend all.  Place dip in micro-dish on high for about 2 1/2-3 minutes.  Serve!


My Parmesan Cheese Crispies

7 T. butter, unsalted, melt
pinch of cumin
3/4 t. tuneric
1/4 t. gsrlic powder
1/4 t. paprika
med cookie tray with about 15 large corn  tortillas
1/2 c. (at least) parmesan cheese (grated)
salt to taste

Preheat oven 375 degrees.  In bowl combine, butter,spices.  Brush top of
tortillas with butter mixture and spinkle parmesan cheese over and salt.
Cut tortillas into wedges, (best way) Place on sheet, bake about 10-12
minutes.  When crispy, take out and transfer chips on wire rack, or something
similar, to cool.  Then serve!


 
Sweet and Sour Meatballs

12 oz pakage ground sausage
1 lb. ground beef
1 egg
1/3 c. seasoned bread crumbs
season rest to your taste!

Chili Sauce
grape jelly
1 T. worcestershire sauce

Oven 400 degrees.  Mix all ingredients.  Mix with hands, easier, and
shape into little balls.  Bake for about 20-25 min.

Sauce
Combine chili sauce and grape jelly, (should be close to equal amounts).
Then heat in pan.  Add baked meatballs, heat through.
Add pineapple or mandarin oranges on top before serving for
garnish/extra flavor! Serve!

Peanut Butter Puppy Poppers

From Cooks of Crocus Hill

2 cups whole-wheat flour
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 cup peanut butter (chunky or smooth)
1 cup milk

Preheat oven to 375ºF.  In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder.  In another bowl, mix peanut butter and milk, then add to dry ingredients and mix will.  Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead.  Roll dough to 1/4 inch thickness and use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes.  Bake for 20 minutes on a greased baking sheet until lightly brown.  Cool on a rack, then store in an airtight container.
