Boom Island Brewing Company is going to the dogs on Saturday, May 14, 2016, and will be hosting the 2nd and expanded Pints & Pups fundraising event in their taproom parking lot. From 1pm to 6pm, seven local fostering & adoption agencies will be set up at the taproom with the express reason to raise money and awareness of the plight of animals in need of a loving home. Even if you visit simply to enjoy some friendly, furry faces, you can still drink a pint and support a pup: Boom Island Brewing will donate a portion of their sales from the entire day (1pm to 9pm) to the participating rescue organizations. Other local dog-related vendors will be on site, including a dog-wash truck, dog treats, and dog day care service, among others. No dog event would be complete without the Nate Dogs hot dog stand to feed all participants and onlookers. The Unofficial House Dog, Wiggy, a rescue herself, will be on hand to welcome all guests with her trademark full-body tail wag.
